Italy. Tuscany. Siena. Luxury hotel. Rejuvenating spa. Salt water grotto. It just keeps getting better. A gem amidst north central Italy's breathtaking Tuscan hills, the Hotel Adler Thermae Spa & Resort is a premier destination for seekers of wellness, rejuvenation, and utter relaxation. Set atop a former travertine quarry, the hotel basks in Tuscany's "lapis tiburtinus", travertine limestone that forms from mineral, and particularly hot springs, deposits. It follows, then, that hotel's sprawling grounds define themselves with a panoply of swimming pools, mineral therapeutic waters, whirlpools, saunas, and quiet nooks for self-reflexion and meditation. Myriad spa treatments, a fitness center, and delectably healthy Italian fare round out the Adler experience of holistic escape.

The Spa Adler Aquae

The Spa Adler Aquae will both soothe or invigorate its guests with pools indoor and out filled with waters fresh and salinated. The alluring Salt Water Grotto sports 38 C warm thermal water, enriched with salt from the Dead Sea, and enhanced with spherical sounds and changing colors of light installations. A dip both cleanses the skin and stimulates circulation, and is free to hotel guests with a prior reservation.

The Adler's spa wing also treats guests to a full fitness center (Adler Fit), family-friendly sports courts, and plenty of open outdoor space for strolling or pent-up energy unleashing (the latter perhaps more appealing to the kids.) Adler Thermae Rooms, Rates & Packages

Overnight Adler guests enjoy rooms that are spacious and bright, all with a terrace or balcony looking out over the Orcia Valley, and bathrooms with separate showers, a minibar, and HDSL Internet access. Three sizes are available--a Superior Double for two, a Family Junior Suite for 3, or a Family Suite for four. Family Suites have two separate bedrooms. Costs range from $275 to $310 per night per person, depending on the season, with price breaks available for weeklong stays. Rates include half-board and access to the Adler Aquae Spa and Adler Fit fitness club.

In addition to plush accommodations and buongiorno amenities, Adler also has a lineup of Medical Spa & Fitness programs, set stays inclusive of all of room amenities outlined above, plus customized services and treatments for those seeking more tailored forms of relaxation and revitalization. Thermal Spa packages, for example, aim to assuage osteoarthritis, rheumatism, abnormalities of venous lymphatic circulation, and gynecological and dermatological disorders, while De-Stress & Regeneration packages focus more on techniques for battling the wear and tear of the rat race, and achieving all-encompassing mental well-being. Adler Thermae-centric stays honed in on Detox & Weight Loss, Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, Aesthetic Medicine, and Fitness & Private Coaching are also available.

Adler Thermae Cuisine

Rounding out the establishment's triple threat of mind-body improvement is the Adler's culinary exploration of light and tasty cuisine. Chefs use fresh, local produce and ingredients to conjure a wide variety of palate-pleasing meals and Tuscan specialities. Menus of 4 to 5 courses change daily, and an idyllic Starlight Roof eatery maintains a constant buffet of creative fresh salads, cheeses, and desserts. The calorically restricted can also take solace in specially prepared meals that adhere to the Adler Balance health program.
