Alaska Airlines Elevates Lounge Experience for Premium Cardholders

Modern airline lounge with comfortable seating and bar.

Alaska Airlines is enhancing its lounge offerings for holders of the new Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Credit Card. This initiative aims to attract premium card members to its network of nine airport lounges, primarily located on the West Coast, with a special focus on an elevated bar program featuring mixologist-curated cocktails.

Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Highlights

  • Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Credit Cardholders receive complimentary access to an elevated bar program in Alaska Lounges.
  • This program includes seasonal cocktails made with premium spirits, such as the exclusive “The Summit Sunset” cocktail.
  • Cardholders also receive eight annual lounge passes and can bring a guest to enjoy the complimentary bar selection.

Enhanced Lounge Amenities

Alaska Airlines has recently relaunched its loyalty program, Atmos Rewards, alongside Hawaiian Airlines. A key feature of this relaunch is the Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Credit Card, which offers several innovative perks. Among these is access to an “elevated bar program” within Alaska Lounges.

This program features a menu of seasonal cocktails crafted with premium spirits, curated by a mixologist. For cardholders, this includes complimentary access to these premium drinks, with a special cocktail, “The Summit Sunset,” made with Woodford Reserve bourbon, available exclusively to them. Non-alcoholic options like “Citrus Bloom” and “Spiced Mule” are also available.

Lounge Access and Benefits

The elevated bar program is currently available at all three Alaska Lounge locations at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and is set to roll out to all other Alaska Lounge locations in October. Atmos™ Rewards Summit cardholders can enjoy these benefits at no additional cost by simply presenting their physical or digital card to the bartender.

Each cardholder is entitled to eight Alaska Lounge passes annually, distributed as two per calendar quarter. Furthermore, cardholders can extend this perk to a companion, offering them a complimentary bar selection as well.

For those without the Summit card, the elevated bar options are available for a fee: $7 for non-alcoholic drinks and $9 for premium cocktails. Alaska Lounges are generally accessible to members, first-class passengers on paid or award tickets with a flight longer than 2,000 miles, or through day passes priced at $65 ($35 for military personnel).

The Atmos™ Rewards Summit card also provides other benefits such as Global Companion Awards, travel delay protection, no same-day change fees, and a $120 TSA PreCheck/Global Entry credit every four years.

Alaska Lounge Network

Alaska Airlines operates lounges in key West Coast airports, including Seattle-Tacoma (SEA), Portland (PDX), San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX), and Anchorage (ANC). The airline also has a lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Many of these lounges have been recently renovated or opened, offering a comfortable and quiet environment for travelers.

The airline’s commitment to enhancing the lounge experience for its premium cardholders signifies a strategic effort to foster loyalty and encourage the use of its airport facilities.
